Disposal instructions:
Disposal of old equipment
Following the implementation of European law into national laws and regulations, you are responsible for the proper disposal of old devices. All old devices must be handed in to a suitable collection point and are therefore not intended for household waste, which is prohibited under the Waste Equipment Ordinance. Please contact your local authority to find out where you can find such collection points in your community or send the old device back to our shipping warehouse.
Battery law information
Since our shipments may contain batteries and rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste; you are legally obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries.
Used batteries can contain harmful substances that can harm the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.
You can either send the batteries back to us after use or return them free of charge in your immediate vicinity (e.g. in stores or at municipal collection points or in our shipping warehouse). Returns to sales outlets are limited to the usual quantities for end users and to those used batteries that the distributor has or has had in its range as new batteries.
The symbol with the crossed-out garbage can means that you must not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries in household waste. Under this symbol you will also find the following symbols with the following meaning:
1. Cd: Battery contains cadmium
2. Hg: Battery contains mercury
3. Pb: Battery contains lead
Please dispose of packaging material in accordance with local regulations.
