Important information: In principle, no decorations (e.g. decorative wood, stones, etc.) should be placed directly in the ethanol fire. Objects placed in the fire will prevent the ethanol from burning optimally/cleanly and will cause a slight formation of soot. In addition, an odor may develop under certain circumstances. Furthermore, with some (decorative) items, (permanent) direct flame contact or excessive heat may damage the material or surface coating (paint). Occasionally, the flames may "bum into" the decorative wood. The decorative wood can also be "lined" with lava stones, for example, to create a fuller overall appearance. The technical functions (filling, regulating, extinguishing) of the combustion containers should be retained at all times. The ethanol should also be at about room temperature when used, so that regular operation is guaranteed. If the ethanol is too cold, undesirable odors may occur under certain circumstances.
